The Scoop : From the director of Gladiator and Black Hawk Down. A drug lord smuggles heroin into Harlem during the 1970s by hiding the stash inside the coffins of American soldiers returning from Vietnam.

Frank Lucas {Washington} is a driver for one of the inner city’s black crime bosses. When the boss dies, Frank takes the opportunity to build his own operation and create the American Dream. With a refined ingenuity, Frank floods the streets with a better product, at a better price. He becomes a civic pillar, even though his illegal operations are destroying everything he loves.

Russel Crowe is on a mission to stop the new syndicate, using his sometimes questionable law enforcement routine, and they will have to confront each other.
