In Arizona during the turmulous 1800’s, infamous outlaw Ben Wade (Crowe) and his vicious gang of thieves and murderers have plagued the Southern Railroad.
The Scoop
When Wade is captured, Civil War veteran Dan Evans (Christian Bale), struggling to survive on his drought-plagued ranch, volunteers to deliver him alive to the “3:10 to Yuma”, a train that will take the killer to trial.
On the trail, Evans and Wade, each from very different worlds, begin to earn each other’s respect. But with Wade’s outfit on their trail – and dangers at every turn – the mission soon becomes a violent, impossible journey toward each man’s destiny.
3:10 To Yuma The Action
Steady as she goes. 3:10 to Yuma had more than enough action, yet kept the tradition of Westerns down firmly. If you love Westerns, you’ll love how the action was woven into the storyline.
Favorite Scenes
The final 20 minutes were spectacular, as the race was on to get Ben Wade on the train to Yuma. Wonderful dialogue, incredible acting and unforgetable action.
3:10 To Yuma The Verdict
3:10 to Yuma was a remake, but this is simply the best western I have seen since The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. It walks all over the orginal and leaves you wanting more.
Christian Bale and Russell Crowe prove, beyond a doubt ,they are the two most talented male actors in the industry.
The movie is dark, has very memorable and graphic scenes and never lets the plot unravel till the end.
One of the best in 2007. I cannot recommend this movie enough. Everyone I have told to rent the movie has agreed 100%, 3:10 to Yuma is one of the years best.
