Grace Is Gone

Upon hearing his wife was killed in the Iraq war, a father takes his two daughters on a road trip. How does a man tell his two daughters their mother has died and the struggles he already faces as a father distant from his two daughters.

The Truth : Grace is Gone is a powerful Drama that will appeal to many, but may struggle to find an audience with the millions of movie watchers with ADD and who could care less about a story. Official Site

John Cusack is wonderful, as a father who has always questioned his wife’s partidicaption in the military. Shélan O’Keefe and Gracie Bednarczyk are incredible as the daughters, you really get drawn into their world… as if you are emotionally attached to the girls.

There is no humor, no laughs… its a very serious movie from start to finish. Grace is Gone delivers a powerful reality of war, death and the trickle effect it has on families.

You’ll Like this movie if : If you can handle a Drama that takes an hour and a half to tell a wonderful story, a tragic tale … or you know {or have lons }someone in the military. John Cusack fans will really enjoy his performance, its one of his best.. ever.

The Verdict : Grace is Gone is a winner and never got the recognition it deserved outside the film festivals. I really enjoyed it, I think you will as well.

Recommendations : If you liked this movie, I recommend the following films as well :

Fahrenheit 9/11, The Bucket List, The Kingdom
